The Accelerator Academy and accompanying Accelerator Fund provide expert training, mentoring and access to capital to the businesses developed.

An entrepreneur’s participation in the Accelerator Academy programme is seen as a badge of quality for investors, business partners and incoming management.

The Academy and Mentors agree to buy share options in supported businesses, and this provides ongoing support from the Accelerator Academy and mentors to help with ongoing growth and development opportunities.

Investment links
The Accelerator Academy is backed by White Horse Capital which is well established in the TMT space, as one of the leading small cap brokers within the £1-20m range (Series A onwards), as well as making direct investments into earlier stage (seed) businesses. As such for well developed businesses, it is well positioned to ‘sign post’ companies towards appropriate funders. They have significant exposure to the TMT investment community (angel to VC).

This investment knowledge helps to guide the participating businesses through investor readiness and to attract appropriate investment upon completion of the 12 week programme.

The Academy works with a range of seed investment partners (including GLE, Angel Capital Group, London Business Angels, Avonmore Developments and SVB) to help ensure appropriate seed investment into the entrepreneurial businesses that are involved with the Academy programme. Our options are only triggered when an Academy supported business closes a successful investment round.

The Accelerator Fund
White Horse Capital is working with key investment partners and in consultation with HM Treasury to create the accompanying £10m Accelerator Fund (a TMT seed fund), under the new Seed Equity Incentive Scheme (SEIS) rules.
