Rachel has a degree in Medical and Veterinary Sciences from Cambridge University. She joined Withers & Rogers in 2000, qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney in 2004 and became a Partner in 2009.
Rachel’s work is primarily related to patent drafting and prosecution but she is also very experienced in providing advice on freedom to operate. Her clients range from small start ups and spin outs to universities and large corporates. She is particularly experienced in dealing with early stage inventions, appreciating the difficulties young companies often face in protecting their intellectual property. Her goal is always to understand the client’s aims and to ensure their IP fits with and is driven by their overall commercial strategy.
