Stephen is an entrepreneur and investor primarily in tech based startups. A veteran of the software industry he was CEO of DataEase International, the market leading database in the 80’s and 90’s. He also founded Sapphire International ,a software distributor and publisher focused around financial and vertical software. Both companies at their peak employed over 400 people.
Experienced in raising money from Angels and Vc’s he has recently established the startupfunding club which helps startups raise their first investment. He is a director of over 10 companies and operates a mini incubator from his office in Kings Cross.
During a 30 year career he has sold a number of businesses including several subsidiaries with the most recent being the sale of Sapphire International Inc (USA based) to ICRA of India in 2009.
