Smarke is a home access solution that helps hosts and guests in the accommodation sharing marketplace share scheduled access to a property.

Smarke’s solution consists of two components; a hardware product connected to a mobile application. The hardware easily retrofits on existing house locks and connects to Smarke’s mobile application through Bluetooth, allowing users to lock and unlock their door using the application.

Moreover, Smarke’s mobile application allows hosts on platforms such as Airbnb, to send virtual keys to their guests, with these keys expiring according to the guests’ reservation length.

Smarke’s founders were both hosts and guests at one point in time, and experiencing problems such as losing keys and exchanging keys at inconvenient hours is what gave birth to Smarke’s concept.

By addressing these issues and more, the access experience on these platforms becomes hotel-like.
